Japanese Holly 'Green Hedge' (Ilex crenata "Green Hedge")
Japanese Holly is a great evergreen shrub and one are finding is used regualrly in order to replace Buxus which hasd been overcome by the Buxus Blight Moth.
Ilex. crenata is a slow-growing, evergreen shrub or small tree, to 6m tall, with glossy, sometimes spiny, wavy-toothed, tiny leaves to 3cm long and nearly 2cm wide. Small white flowers, borne in summer, are followed by black fruits
